People never see the beauty of life
People never see the struggles it brings
We all know that feeling it brings
That sparkle of glory with in

Yet we also know that dark side
That dark night that has no light
That fills you with fear inside
Yeah that feeling that makes you cry
That makes you wish you hadn't woken up tonight

That struggle that's not against the world 
Or the beauty it brings
But with the person in the mirror you see

That person you see has finally sank 
I no longer see that person who strived 
I only see that dark, dark night
That has no light

I no longer see that smile
That brightened my day
That made me wish for another day
I only see that sullen look
That fills others with pity for me

I no longer see those eyes full of life
I only see those troubled eyes
That keep weeping at night

We all face struggles in life
Yet we ignore them sometimes
Until one night you hit rock bottom
And feel everyone's against you
And no one can help you
But that person in the mirror

At that point you realize 
You're fighting the person in the mirror
Trying to see the light
Those eyes full of life 
That smile that brightens the day
And strives EVERYDAY
