Pen and Paper

I wrote him a letter
That he never read
Explaining the things
That he did to my head

My wounds reopen
My heart is raw
If you could see
The things I saw

He roped me in
I was so weak
I blindly followed
I never did peak

Peek as in look
To see where I was headed
Peak as in rise
I did not, I regret it

Paper and pen
Two things I hold dear
Ink starts to run
I shed a black tear

My tears stream down
My pen as I write
Bleeding tears of darkness
On paper so white

White as fresh snow
On a new winter day
Like an innocent soul
Before losing its way

My paper my salvation
My pen as my spear
My words could defeat you
If only you could hear
