Funny how life comes

       in unexpected ways

Funny how it twists and turns

       and bends along the way

Funny how it comes in waves

Funny how it leads you for miles and stretches on end,

       without any bend,

        unyielding in its path.

Funny how it can blind you with its curve

       within a second's time,   

        the road lost behind.

No road map for its cures does it give

Yet life beckons, "take the scenic route."
