Pathetic

Here I stand,

Far from you.

In our hearts,

Emotions so few.

We speak and talk,

Whispering promises of love.

Yet the paved future

Washes away like chalk.

You try to help,

I try to see

The beauty you say

Rests within me.

I don't know what to do,

I need a hand.

I'm scared of water,

Will you be my land?

My pathetic ways have to changem,

I need to fight.

And if it's for you,

Then i'll fight with all my might.

It's hard to say how I feel,

But with you I don't need to.

You somehow know

Even when I never knew.

Having a heart isn't a weakness,

Having a heart is strength.

Yet when is the line drawn,

And at what length?

This poem is about:
Me
