Past Self

I wish I could tell myself back then that,

people don't care what you look like,

how small or thick your thighs are,

or what size you wear.

What they do see is,

the redness from your tears,

the smile you wear,

and the way you express your care.

I wish I could myself back then that,

The ones that matter will always be there,

to wipe away your tears,

and listen to all your hopes and fears.

If I could've just told myself,

maybe I wouldn't be so lonely and scared.
