Passionate

There’s a lot to be done in this journey called life
So much so that some people just get
Caught
In the hustle and bustle of everyday tasks
Chores
Job
School
Work
Goals
Dreams
Financial stability
That they just
Forget
I don’t know how, or why, or when
But somehow
I have found the treasure some people spend a lifetime looking for
Blindly grasping for what they want
What they need in life to be happy
Yet it is only an arm’s reach from their faces
One may say it is, “So close, but yet so far”
But this thing, what everyone wants
It’s not greedy
Or selfish
Not even material
It is special
Unique
Never looks alike for two people
It is not a two player item
The person who you love and adore most,
Who knows every detail about you
Still. Won’t understand your particular love
Only the person who wants it can see what it looks like
And still, even then, they have no idea what it looks like until they have found it
But I have found mine
Somewhere
Deep in the dark blue of this planet
I have found it.
Many before me may have found theirs, but have only worshipped from afar
Never fully grasping what they want most in life
What will set their soul free
Free to roam the earth forevermore
Happily
Passion.
Their passion.
What a person truly loves,
Their art,
Their dreams,
Their everything.
It could truly be anything
Anything in this entire world.
And I’ve found mine.
Deep in the oceans,
In rivers
And lakes
And ponds
The wildlife who calls the water their home
Where small and large all come to gather and live cohesively
I could get lost forever in the rhythm of that cycle
The natural tune that if it could.
Would never
Change.
