Paralian

The ocean shifted
Around her toes
It flowed back and forth
To and fro

Her toes dug into the sand
Her eyes set to the sea
No noise was made
Besides the gentle waves

The sky darkened
To a rosy hue
And still she stood
Waiting

The sun set
The sky turned dark
And still she stood
Her eyes misted with tears

She pulled her feet from the sand
And walked slowly
Away from the sea
Away from the waves
