Painted In Pink

Location

The world was painted in pink

the day you were diagnosed.

We all said "I love you mom."

And it was the battle that we chose.

I saw it on your face.

Your pink cheeks, and sore eyes were no disquise to me.

We never thought life would take us here,

and still we took a leap of faith.

Walk in faith, not in fear is what you lived by.

Now I live by example, and you're my inspiration.

You're strong, brave,

fearless, and beautiful.

Although it was the day you were diagnosed

that everyone noticed.

I knew from as long as I could remember

how amazing you truly are.

I loved you from the beginning.

You really are my everything.

I wouldn't be able to walk with out you.

Mom you are my rock, my air, and my life.

I looked at the sky above,

I saw his marvelous paint brush that stroked the universe,

and I thanked god for his shades of grace.

It was then that I noticed, the world was painted in pink.

I've learned so much through your experience.

I saw you fight until you sought victory.

You're a survivor, and a fighter in the eyes of millions

but you're a mother, friend, and angel to me.

I will never be able to express in words

how much you truly mean to me.

"Mom I will always love you" I said

and we were painted in pink.

A poem that expresses strength and love, I admire it, you and your family in here and heaven. Love and faith and believing in hope are things many people need in this world and you have given a spark to hundreds of people who can now live by your example. Amazing;)
