Pain, Torment, and Suffering

Pain, Torment, And Suffering

this is all that my soul knows

the kids mock, and tear at me

piece

by

piece

they exclude me

they ridicule me

they tear me apart like a hungry lion

thirsty for blood

Anger, pain, and sadness boil-over inside of me

rotting me from the inside

second

by

second

torn apart

piece

by

piece,

second

by

second

alone, wandering through woods of sorrow and gloom

fearing, for my soul

tormented

by ghosts of the past

torn apart

by the people here and now

Suffering, pain, and torment

are what fill my soul.

Pain, Torment, and Suffering

is what you've overcome.

They may stare

the words they say aren't fair

in the end you're your own person and you don't care.

all those empty faces and judging eyes

none of them realize

what you have can never be touched

every lie you've told

promise you broke

every time you've fallen

piece

piece

you're strong enough to get back on your feet and pick yourself up

piece

by

piece

you're strong

you have a voice

you speak through the written word

your language is your own

This Is Your Home.
