overthinking

When you think too much

your feelings start to wrap around you,

covering you in thorns

a dark mass of pain

suffocating you

When you think too much

they can tell something's wrong

they just can't see what

because you smile just to hide it

When you think too much

the thorns pierce your heart

and you start bleeding from the inside

pure red dripping from your eyes

but all they see is clear salty tears

When you think too much

that's when things go wrong
