Overcoming Sympathy

Location

A side of me that no one saw,

weak, pathetic, crumbled down black

expected to rise alone

darkness surrounded me in a huge bubble

blocking me out of any sort of freedom

only thing recieved was sympathy

rising alone

distracted myself from black

becoming stronger and stronger

with no one but sympathy

rised alone

Overcoming Sympathy

This poem was written about being homeless during my youth and how the only thing that I recieved was sympathy, but no help. Sympathy wasn't enough and I was expected to come out of this alone. I eventually did and overcame the pathetic sympathy that I recieved.
