Outside and In

Location

                                 When I look

     In the mirror

In my soul

     I see a plain face,

I see a vast galaxy

     No splendid features.

With limitless possibility.

     My cheeks are too full,

I feel so much

     My nose is too pointy.

And my heart so full.

I should start wearing makeup because

I fell in love with the idea that

     My lashes are too short

I might see the world.

And my skin isn't perfect, like porcelain.

I am a special type of person,

     I am littered with flaws.

I want to dance amongst the stars.
