Out, Standing

I have a 3.7

But I won’t reach heaven.

Everyone says that I am selfless

Truth is I could careless

I’m far from perfect

Worried someone will see my defect

I’m 20, a single-mother

And I’ve only adored my daughter

Don’t even care for my brother

I have an obsession

To understand true compassion

I will be a psychiatrist

To help people just like this

Others see me as adept

Often, even elegant

"She's knowledgeable, funny, and caring" others say

To the world I am Outstanding!

But in reality I am out, standing…
