Out Of Africa

OUT OF AFRCA

I used to be Meryl Streep
And then I caught strep throat
So now she's me
And she's got my Oscars doorstopping for bathroom door with a ring around the toilet bowl
At first I thought it a faux pas
Until I snagged the hem of my cerebellum
Unraveling front of a drove of witnesses
Haute Couture straitjacket mess I
My prayers called for Saints and none materialized
But the fog that filled the room instead
Was a blessing nonetheless misty eyed
I couldn't see to the other side of the Moon
It all occurred in Africa
I knew I had to get out the lickity split
The continent bisn't big enough for two bitches
And she being the bigger
I ask acquiesced leaving via the train to Mombasa
Oh the love I left behind broke my heart
My Dogon Cosmic Egg cracked in zillions of jagged pieces
The big cats frolic still I'm sure
In the tall grass for we use to hide
And taking chances
