Our own lives

Tue, 11/01/2016 - 13:53 -- Mfallin

Give us this day  Our daily bread  And please take away  This overwhelming dread   Of living a life  That is not entirely mine  Everyday is a fight  To not cross the line   But it's a losing side  I am on   I'm just along for the ride  Just to deal with what is done   This life is not mine  I have no say  Lord, just give me a sign  That this will not stay this way    I need my life  It needs to be my own  Even with all of the strife  It reminds me I'm not alone   But all the same, i do not speak  No matter how much I desire so  Because that which I seek  Is victim to a blow so low   It is my life, I should have the final say  That is what I think every single day  But there is nothing that you can do   When the people whom are controlling your life are the ones who made you.
