Our Last Dance

Honey, hold me tight

I may have to leave soon

Kiss me softly like you have so many times

Whisper “I love you” in my ear as sweet as you have before

Hold my hand and be my lifeline

Pull me up and out of bed with your arm around my waist

Slowly waltz with me as this may be our last dance

It's been a long hard road

You've stuck with me and never gave up

Even when I grew old and couldn't remember your name

You still love me, and I you

From the moment we met, all my dreams included you

They still do as this life comes to an end

So hold me tight as we dance our last dance

Don't cry for me when I'm gone

The pain no longer lingers

I'll wait until it's your time to join me

Holding onto the memory of our last dance

I’m waiting for the next
