Our Job is to Love Each Other

Wed, 05/10/2017 - 01:59 -- creano

“O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave”

How much of that can we say remains?

Everyone scared of scaring the people that need to be saved.

Everyone living sort of free but also kind of in pain.

Yeah we have all our rights, outline’ in the Constitution,

Yet loved ones living in terrified persecution.

And this leaves me to believe the ultimate resolution.

I think it’s time to go ahead and restart the revolution.

Yeah let’s reform, bring on respect and compassion.

This doesn’t mean home terrorism and greed at our core.

We don’t need the trap of fear or some monetary transaction

To find bravery, but find pride as our country’s flag soars.

I hope we remember the love of each other.

We come of the same soul, had a monkey for a mother.

My country
