Our Foolish Path

Location

It seems so long ago that the illusion faded

And we were left with barren dirt

The colorful night life now evaded

As we all try to save our own souls.

It took so long for us to realize

How foolish this path truly was

And how looking at the world through sparkling eyes

Can cause the damage that it has.

It's silly how we mourn

Of days where riches were commonplace

And how now our clothes are worn

When then we had shoes of glass.
