Our First Goodbye

Our story was short but as you know,

short stories are my favorite.

you're a bad boy, and so different from me.

But if magic is real, we made it.

More than attraction, less than love.

One sweet week was all we had.

Strong fingers around mine,

A tantalizing touch that drove me mad.

How cautious you were, as if I could break.

Our first kiss, how it began with an, "okay,"

and ended with a, "wow," the sun shining

bright in our eyes, that blissful, beautiful Thursday.

One last kiss, one first goodbye.

Memories will fade, and eventually die.

My almost lover, my secret wish,

Remember my name and remember our kiss.
