Our American nightmare

The American Dream - Damn how selfish
Geez how foolish

The American dream is us reaching for the stars but forgetting there's a moon
Mowing our lawns but forgetting the fields
Forget to Feed our children , but remember Founding Fathers
The American dream is this barrier that officials created
To master their countries wealth & point out " USA never faded "
This simplistic  cliche is just a perfect mother & father  a son & a daughter
And maybe even their dog
A holy rich home with no troubles & who always talks to God
It is the white picket fence and blue shutters
The beautiful landscape in the backyard & the home with the cleanest gutters
The American dream discusses no financial battles or marriage rivals
This American dream explanation needs an alibi
But more or less to me that American dream is a lie
That mother & father are tackling a divorce
Those children are sick u see they r barley adored
That dog has ticks & it's spreading around the house
That rich holy home seems scarce & their prayers are silent as a mouse
The white fence & blue shutters just hide the real families issues
the beautiful landscape , that American land was taken from another family just like u
Every thing about that house & family seems problematic and true
No one wants to confess that the American dream is just a bruise
That our past has left on us
Too black & blue - but too nursed to give up
We r reaching for everything we can not have
That American dream is a show & we only see half
It's just a goal we set for ourselves that cause us to crumble
Until we r sitting at the bottom of an ghetto apt or tenement home
We realize the American dream is just a a fake diamond stone
The American dream is not something in which we actually live up to
It's just something to flaunt & say " we r better than u "
The American dream - is just that - a dream in which we can't awake from
Because its causing destruction & more battles to come
& not all will be won
Because of this stretchy sketch of imaginary wish
And when u live in America u tent to become a bit selfish
Only giving because its the holidays
Or because its the right thing to do
But u really wish that 20 bucks was given back to
U see this dream has caused us to rob others people's money
Just so we can provide, clothe & feed our families
This American Dream is just creating corruption & causing disruption
And making money abductions & career deductions
I wish to abolish the American Dream in which we strive for
Erase the expectations for these high relations & career creations
This dream in which we entitle ourselves has become a date that we can't bare
Because this American Dream had become the worlds nightmare
