Orpheus’s Undying love
Orpheus oh Orpheus
Singing sorrowful sweet melodies
of his own tragic malady
He sits there all day and all night
Sitting at his lost loves gravesite
Hear how his sorrow and pain gently weeps
Over his lost loves grave as she gently sleeps
Gone now are his joyful tunes
That could wipe away anyone’s blues
Now his instrument is full of his sad tunes
That he’ll be joining her soon.
Eurydice his odes do cry
Why did you have to go and die?
Why did you have to leave?
Why did you have to leave me?!
You were my life, my light,
My dear heart, love and muse!
Oh Orpheus sweet Orpheus
The graveyard echoes with your laments
for a man with so much talent
Mother Nature herself begins to weep for Orpheus
as he strums his last tune for his lost love.
Orpheus, Orpheus open your eyes now
Do you see your light?
How her eyes are full of delight?
It’s your heart, muse and love!
See how she flies like a dove!
Souls now entwined,
Forever singing together.
With their undying love for each other.
