Operation Tormenting Terminated
In this world, there is a thrill to have the weak extinguished,
A subconscious love for having others bending to our will.
Bullying those around to propel themselves to the top,
I feel this is a behavior that simply needs to stop.
It’s a dog-eat-dog world or so they say.
Who exactly gave you the power to take one’s joy away?
Bullying is not a joke nor a game
Because this “game” turns serious the longer it is played.
The silent cries of victims reaching for help
Are often discovered after they try to “help” themselves.
A whirlwind of torment and destruction becomes the life of a victim
As they find themselves falling deeper with no one beside them.
A beautiful life full of so much potential,
Broken by the vicious attacks of jealous people.
The bully gloating over their so-called accomplishment,
Breaking down an innocent life for their own enjoyment.
Lives have been lost due to the actions of the oppressor
As the families of these victims are hoping in the bullies, guilt will fester.
Self-appointed royalty, these individuals view themselves as a superior breed,
Belittling the so-called peasants in their life, watching as they bleed.
The weak and defenseless are the prey of these brow-beaters,
Taking all their hopes and dreams to replace them with fears.
Such an awful tragedy to see such potential be diminished
Because these tormentors won’t stop until they feel the job is finished.
At that point, there’s no turning back to how life was before.
The torture has enveloped the victims to where they don’t know “normal” anymore.
To the boy who dedicated two years to convincing me I was worth nothing,
Who single handedly crushed my self-esteem to a whimpering cry
by his words that were toxins each time they left his lips,
You will never know the damage you did.
I was left to pick the pieces and relocate myself
While you moved on to make a new person’s life hell.
Struggling for months to find a refuge free of you
Was a challenge as your poison had seeped into everything I do.
To the girls who relished in magnifying my every insecurity,
Who shot me down like a bird in the tree
in an attempt to establish locker room dominance,
those so-called glory days are behind you and good riddance.
Because of people like you, I feel I should take a stand
In hopes of saving someone else from being under such a persecuting command.
