Open Your Eyes

I wish you'd open your eyes, feel your fragile heartbeat rise.

I wish you could feel the pain you bring me, just open your eyes and you will see!

My soul aches for acceptance, my undying love strains for deliverance.

My world has fallen and burned to the ground, I need someone to turn this issue back around.

I try my hardest to make you proud, yet I always end up upon poisonous clouds.

My heart is bursting from its seams, my darkened nightmares have become frequent dreams.

My eyes appear to the windows to my soul, but it seem like shattering that is your prime goal.

I know I've made plenty of mistakes, some even leave me in eternal wake.

But before you take your finger and point, you better make sure they are clean joint to joint.

We seem so nice yet we always fight, all I want is a few peaceful nights.

You hold an unforgiving rage, despite the difference between our age.

You see black and white while I see color and hue, yet it doesn't matter what you try to say I know I'll never be good enough for you.
