This One's For the Bad Teachers

Location

You give us too much homework

You test us half to death

All for the sake of rising scores

That in the end doesn’t mean much.

Because in the real world skills trump scores

Which is what your career is based on.

You pick your “pets” based on preference

When every pupil deserves a fair shot.

And those who constantly disrupt your class

Most times get away with murder.

I’m tired of all of these inconsistencies

Please just make up your mind.

Finally, there is the issue of indifference

When you don’t care for the future of your students.

I doubt you do the job for money

Unless you are a college professor.

So why do you do a job you don’t like?

I would rather you move somewhere else

And take that attitude with you.
