One of My Friends

One of my friends hums as she works,

one of her quirks.

And when she hums

I don’t feel glum.

One of my friends chews on her hair

and I just stare,

she concentrates

despite hair’s fates.

One of my friends stares into space,

smile on her face.

At the blank sky

Her eyes rise high.
