One more second

Faces aren't the sky,

Saying they change in 12 hours is a lie.

Lie down and think

Think about how long it takes

One hour,

One day,

One week,

One month,

One year,

Once.

Once you do, you know.

Faces can change

Not in 12 hours but 12 months

They can go from not wanting the next year,

To wanting the next day,

To wanting the next second,

To wanting one more

One more second when they wanted none

They can look back to when they had nothing

To when they didn’t want anything

Thinking that was one time,

Now knowing what it is to want once again.
