One More

One more, this time deeper,
One more, I don't know why,
One more, to hurt less yet more at the same time,
Lost in a maze of cuts and bruises,
unable to find my way out,
The exit is in sight yet I'm too afraid of the route.

One more hot day in the sun,
Afraid to expose my shame,
Stuck in a whirlpool of emotions yet everyday I come out the same.

One more friend to say their worried,
And forget the next day,
That makes one more person for me to cut for today.

One more day left to stand,
I take them one at a time,
For if I stuck them all together to look at,
It would be one less day to say goodbye.
