One Last Wish

Now, I lay down to sleep

protect me lord from all of those who creeps. With evil thoughts and wicked

schemes; to snatch me out of my resentful dreams.

I know there's bad things I've done That's why most people don't sleep

peacefully without pocket knives and guns

And if startled from a peaceful slumber

the gun will roar like a blast of thunder

Gotta fight to live another day!

So many things to do and say but I pray over those whom roam the

streets trying to find themselves. regardless of it's meets

Because not that long ago that person was me

lost, neglected, alone never loved nor had a family

But if it's time for me to go or my life is taken.

Just leave me in my dreams never to be awakened.

My life has been a constant struggle from the cradle to the grave.

But I was saved!

Got me peeping out the window looking  my shoulder.

The world is only getting colder.

God has his children and we're all his soldiers.

Just a few wishes before I go.

Can I give my loved ones a kiss and let them know? Before I go

As I disappear into the sunset.

God is it my time just yet?

What does god have instored. This hurts me to the core. This is for my Lil siestas and bro.

Growing up in foster homes, hotels, and on the streets.

Nothing but lost children, broken dreams.

Lord please watch over my siblings.

As you feel and hear me in the wind.

I want to twirl and dance in the tall grass; into the moonlight.

But lord as I lay down to sleep. Now, I can be me who was destined to be

and that is to be free.
