Once Upon A Memory

Location

Once upon a memory
Some people lived inside of me
They’d tell me tales about their lives
And some strange day I’d realize
These people I knew were never real
But emotions from them I still could feel
All my friends were inside my head
Now they’re gone I feel like I’m dead

Inside my head I’d heard their voices
Surrounded by the sounds of their world’s noises
Inside my heart I’d felt their lives
To think they’re gone brings tears to my eyes.

Once upon a memory
I’d close my eyes, and then I’d see
Perchance a dream, my mind’s creation
Or perchance it was my own imagination
I lived, and laughed, and loved back then
And now I weep at the thought of when
I saw those things, so real to me
And then I thought that I could be
A dragon king, with scales of gold, and light upon his face
Or perhaps a devil in disguise as one of the human race

Inside my head I’d heard their voices
Surrounded by the sounds of their world’s noises
Inside my heart I’d felt their lives
To think they’re gone brings tears to my eyes.

Once upon a memory
These wondrous people I did meet
Jordan, Jeeves, and Jichimei,
Princeton, Grimmwauld, also Drake,
Skarr, Georgia, Alexander too
You all should know that I miss you
Inside my head I’ve heard your voices
Surrounded by the sounds of your world’s noises
Inside my heart I’ve felt your lives
And now I sadly say…

Goodbye.
