Once Upon a Limerick

Wed, 08/23/2017 - 17:14 -- LaPluma

3 Pigs, all scared like a mouse.

So they all decided to build a house.

One built it with sticks,

The other with bricks,

The straw got blown like a blouse.

Poor wolf, he just had a cold.

After all, his body is old.

He just wants to be warm,

stay away from the storm.

"We don't want you" is the response that is told.

The old mother piglet noticed his condition.

So she gave the old wolf her permission

to stay in her room,

away from the gloom

and she didn't have any suspicion.

Oh, the wolf was just so delighted

when the fireplace had been ignited.

He drank herbal tea

and smiled with glee

to know that he was invited.

But the wolf was cunning, oh yes.

He changed into grandmother's dress.

Mamma Pig came back,

and then he attacked,

so now the floor is a mess.

The 3 pigs came to her bed

to find out their mother is dead.

They looked at "Gramma"

inspected her pajama

"Why is there wolf fur?" they said.

"Wow, you pigs are so smart.

But I'm gonna tear you apart!"

The wolf then laughed.

The pigs felt a draft

and felt the beat of a heart.

The pigs needed to take action,

so they started off with a distraction.

Wolf was lured away,

so pigs can save the day.

And brought a pro at extraction.

The doorbell suddenly rang,

A man so big, I mean DANG!

Very skilled guy.

He aimed for the eye.

Wolf in his sights and then BANG!

The 3 pigs were no longer in fear.

Although they lost their mother, dear.

But she left the a note.

"I'm always with you," I quote.

In their hearts, she is always kept near.

THE END
