Once I Had A Dream: Breathing Dance

Thu, 09/28/2017 - 10:57 -- Mhillba

Once i had a dream.

I had a dream where i danced until my last breath.

The soft melody of the violin played into my ears.

It flowed into my veins,

swirling in my blood,

moving my body despite the pain that radiated through me.

With each step, with each leap, with each spin my bones rattled.

They shook, they moved, they groaned and creaked.

I danced still,

I danced through the pain.

I used my pain as my guide.

I welcomed it, embraced it.

My pain created emotions.

It created my angels, my demons and all in between.

It created my limbo, my empty space, my life.

Or what used to be my life.

I leaped and raised my hands to the heavens that i don't believe in.

I stumbled and i fell, i screamed and i cried.

The pain became too intense but i didn’t stop, i couldn’t stop.

I wanted,

No

I needed my last moments to be with the thing i love most.

I needed my soul to be free

because i knew i wasn’t going to this so called heaven.
