Older Now
I'm getting older now,
Somewhere between a child and an adult,
Sixteen years of age don't treat me otherwise.
I'm getting older now,
Everything has changed,
But I'm the same and I've been left behind.
I'm getting older now,
I wish people could see me for me,
And stop trying to control me.
I'm getting older now,
And my problems are more intense,
Life's complications are sometimes more than I can bear.
I'm getting older now,
Ready to spread my wings.
