Ode to You

Tue, 01/09/2018 - 11:42 -- Adi

We knew each other a long time ago.

I don’t think you would remember me. After all, it was just for a moment that we knew each other.

In that fleeting moment, you turned my world from gray to color, from silence to sound, from dark to light.

The girl you were with didn’t like me. I could tell by her shifting stance, her piercing glance, her bright red pants. She made it very clear I wasn’t welcome there.

But nevertheless, I walked up to you. I wanted to speak, to say something, to tell you how wonderful and amazing you were and how you were such a gift to the world-

But all I could say was

“Aww, who’s a good boy?”

And you knew it was you.
