Ode to the River Spirit

Oh river spirit,

Whom no other druid can outrank

We watch as you splash the banks.

Your hair flowing in white peaked locks

We feel your joy as you swim with the current and move the rocks.

In winter you curl up to sleep

A white blanket coats you keeping crayfish warm in the deep.

In spring time please awake from your den

As we hope to gaze upon your beauty again.
