Ode to My iPod

When I'm feeling all alone, I go turn on my iPod

Paramore really gets me through the day

Tyler Joseph screams in my ear that everything’s gonna be okay

Led Zeppelin becomes my squad

My friends don't get it, saying that my music taste is odd

I listen to Tchaikovsky, who composed music for ballet

I also listen to the soundtrack of West Side Story and imagine I'm in Broadway

I also jam out to Hillsong United when I want to feel closer to God

All of my fears and anxieties fade away

I'm in another galaxy that's a happier place

Just as long as I have some earphones

Any day could feel like Friday

When my head is nodding to a good rhythm with some bass

When I have my iPod I am never really alone
