Nothing Is Okay

Isn’t family supposed to guide you and tell you all the wrongs and rights? They always remind you to get good grades, get a good future, and not spend too much time on useless things. But what they don’t see is their child struggling, weighed down with stress and pain. Not being able to express themself, crying to sleep every day yet waking up with a smile on their face every morning. Good morning mom! Sitting on the kitchen table like nothing even happened last night and it all was back to normal. Grabbing your lunch and waiting for the bus your tears began to fall once again. This time your eyes are all red, you try to quiet yourself down as you reach school. Breathe in and breathe out you say constantly as you’re going closer to your friend. You look around and see new faces which you don’t recognize. In your mind, you’re wondering how beautiful they are while you look like a whale. They start whispering in each other’s ears and laughing while looking at you. A bad feeling starts to come and you knew they were talking about you, right that moment you run and don’t ever stop. It started pouring and lighting, I needed to take shelter so I run into a forest and take off my backpack. I grabbed the one thing that gave me pleasure in a situation like this. Blood starts pouring about and washes away from the rain and I slowly lose consciousness, gently closing my eyes and falling back. Waking up to the sound of a bird singing was different, I didn’t know how things were back home but I will never come back.

Love,

Your daughter
