Nothing More

Wed, 11/12/2014 - 21:09 -- Vy Lam

Heavy heart chains around her ankle

As she drags it along the floor.

She desires love and nothing more.

She waits for the glorious day.

The day she can be happy again.

She waits for the day her heart would mend.

She mourn for the stolen happiness,

Because she knows that moment will never return

And all she can do is to watch it burn.

All the pain she had endured

Will be nothing more than a blur.

Happiness will never reach her.

Nothing more ahead, nothing more behind.

Only solitary awaits at the end of days

Never again, she’ll love.

Never again, she’ll be loved.
