The Note That Never Reached You.

The water flows because it has nothing else to do.

The sun shines because that’s all it knows how to do.

The moon glows because that’s what it was told to do.

My heart turns blue because all it knows is how to miss you.

Life here is not what you said.

It’s not daisies and rose buds blooming in their beds.

It’s a lot of pain and a lot of tears and I don’t know if I can keep living like this for the next couple of years.

All the blame and all the guilt are eating me alive and I can’t seem to find any help.

Between the screams, shouts, and flying fists my muted whispers I hope, are reaching your ears.

Because I don’t know what to do, all the guidance I ever received came from you.

Saying I miss you is an understatement because when you left my voice went with you.

I really don’t know what to do.

I hope you find your new life okay, hopefully I’ll get out of this hell and see you again one day.
