Not Here to Pardon a Parking Ticket

Sat, 03/15/2014 - 15:56 -- Mirus

"When you're a cop, can you pardon my tickets?"

I hate hearing such mundane things about my career. It's not even what I want to do.

I want to go to the core of why society built rules, why we think how we do, what we can do for the masses.

Society didn't build itself on principles that get washed away so easily; that do not move with the people that built it up.

I want to be a stone in that foundation. A part of a whole that can see it's worth as she slaves away in a lab looking at evidence, compiling crime data, and even having to walk upon a regrettable crime scene.

It's not the easiest job or the safest, but I want to see where I would fit in investigating the minds of those who build the law, and those who oppose it.
