The Noise: A Child is Listening
You hear it.
You hear it on the news; you hear it in school.
You hear it from your parents, uncles, family friends:
“You are a freak; you’re a thing, you are separated, quarantined
From us we don’t want to catch what you’ve got.”
They don’t want to admit how empty, ignorant, unaware, unsure their minds are.
They don’t want to admit.
They’ve lost the right to act like gods.
