#NoFilter
A dam, walled and secure.
So many ideas, yet not one will come forth.
A twitch of the finger-
A thought, do I have one?
-Only to fall flat again.
Blue and purple,
Blended in the cavities on my face.
So many compliments I get from them.
Yet all they do it taunt, tease and cry.
Why did I try?
A bloody hand repeatedly slamming into a slick wall,
An incessant pound, pound-
A lion, grounded and tame
Before the whip of a memory.
So many tries, never to succeed.
Was it worth it being me?
I try to laugh and stay silent,
Do as you say.
I do what you want, yet still you all reach
With your meticulously sharpened tongues.
Harsh, cruel, bloody lessons they teach.
Every person has a guillotine of words.
No filter exists in a land of fear.
“Speak!” You scream as you hold a knife.
Obligingly, I open my mouth
There can be no filter here.
