Nobody Knows But Me

Nobody knows but me,

Nobody knows what goes on behind the closed door,

Nobody truly knows how hard it can be,

Nobody knows how many times I have hit the floor.

Nobody hears my cries,

Nobody sees the abuse,

My spirit dies,

Nobody sees the bruise.

I wish somebody would see how bad I'm hurting,

I wish my scars would help them understand,

The bruises and cuts are not alerting,

Everybody thinks that everything is grand.

Nobody knows but me,

The pain and the abuse is to much, I need an escape,

I wish somebody would see,

I am hoping to be rescued by a super hero in a cape.

One day I will be free,

And then I will no longer be hurt,

Then maybe others will agree,

That I am not dirt.

Nobody knows but me,

But one day others will,

Everybody will soon see,

I can't wait until
