No One Heard

A reflection of yourself
Under a luminous light
When you see it you cry
You like it when it's dark
The dim light hides the
cracks, bruises, scraps,
and cuts. The blood, the
black, the blue, the purple,
the white. The deep dark
circles that surround her
eyes. Skinny legs, chubby
thighs. The depiction of
a story you cannot deny.
The storm swells up inside
her eyes and release the
rain when the clouds fog
her judgement. Stop, don't
speak, she will not hear you,
the forces crushed, made her
scream as she listened to lies.
She cut her ears off and drank
the blood. She enjoyed the taste.
A soft communication between
real and fake. An undeniable truth
falls from her lips without speaking,
it landed on the floor and was stepped
on. That's when she stepped off the
ladder after climbing high and tying
it tightly, only to let herself fall so
they can watch her lifeless body
hang. She tied knots in the rope
after wrapping it around her neck,
before she lept and let herself die,
she screamed in the silent version
of a distant sigh, a proverbial cry.
