Nirvana (draft)

One day

I'm going to slip inside of the opening of water

Freezing to the touch

My arm hairs stand like an intense erection

My nipples are steel tokens.

I can't swim.

But I slip deeper underneath the surface.

Layers of liquid grow above me.

I allow the current to take me to the underbelly of the water

I pass a school

Of the most beautiful sea inhabitants

With vivid colors like Kenti cloths

They greet me

I swear on a stack of biblical texts that they smiled at me

Nature communicating.

They touch their slippery scales over my skin

The touch is unfamiliar but I say thank you

I run into territories where I am not wanted

My toenails graze the defensive spikes of others

I am frightened.

Why am I here again?

Yes, I am traveling to another universe

Underneath the body of the aquatic paradise.

Underneath the land mass that I know

Underneath the 30 story apartment buidling

There is a world that I am seeking.

Nirvana maybe

Maybe this is what Cobain imagined

Maybe this is the place everyone travels when they have left Earth's tangible dimension.

I hope to get there because I can no longer breath

I clutch my neck with painted fingernails.

My face is turning blue I assume

Oxygen is floating around me but not inside of me

And then stillness.

After what seems like eternity, the lids of my eyes pry open

I am surrounded by nature.

Its ceremonious.

But I've reached my destination.

Only a place that exists after the after.

After the omega.

After the stillness.

I cough to see if I am real.
