The New Year

Sun, 12/29/2013 - 23:08 -- jnr1995

Chaos consumes the essence of my soul

Creating clouds that circle the once pale blue sky of my past

Choppy waves of the ocean encompass the earth from below

Choking, gasping for air

Crazy is my mind as my consciousness leaves me

Can I tell which way is up and which way is down?

Can the rainfall subside?

Can the sun overcome the clouds?

The first new breath was one of refreshment

The freedom felt from its successors fuels me,

as I run on land in the sunlight
