The feel of soft, smooth velvet
And the scent of Nature’s perfume,
Describes the beauty known as a flower.
Life and nature coexists,
For both are fragile elegance.
Life and flowers are short lived,
But full bloomed are enjoyed by all.
A flower not selfish, they live for others.
Its excellence is not for itself,
Instead its love gives and receive with other beings.
In its prime the entity pollinates,
To prepare its will before it dies.
In the winter the petals wither away.
When spring arrives, previous sacrifice
Give birth to the next generation.

This is a poem I wrote for my Creative Writing class and it was about nature. I chose a flower and how it connects to life and selflessness.
