Myself

Location

I am from houses,

From old neighborhoods and drenched cities

I am from tablets used for drawings

Colorful, amusing

Clean stroked lines

I am from movies nights and eating out

From family bonding and satisfying meals

From laughter and arguments

And the non-empty stomachs

I’m from warm, hot showers

With soap and conditioner

And 30 minutes in there I stay

I’m from Asian cuisine

Steamed white rice and salty soy sauce

From the day my grandpa died

By an accident in the streets

From the illness my grandma received

Diagnosed with cancer

In my mind were images

Of my memories

Both good and bad times

That I wish to keep

As I grow older

Until the day I die
