Just the other night
I was thinking far ahead
To a future that can be bright
And deep waters I must tread

See, I want to do this thing
And it's called going to school
But I don't have the cha-ching
To go to UF or FSU

Though Bright Futures may pay for some
I still have many expenses
Not for clothes or fun with chums
But for school and maybe a Lexus

I want to major in Psychology
Or Elementary Education
My dream is to go to the University
Where I'll be a part of the Gator Nation

So I'm searching for some scholarships
To help me succeed in Gainesville
I'm getting some advice and tips
So I won't flip burgers on a grill

And then, Oh! Happy Day!
I came across Power Poetry
I'm not good at poems, to my dismay
But I'm pretty good with creativity

I bet I'm not match for the others
Who can write beautiful masterpieces from their souls
But I thought I would try one way or another
To reach one of my ultimate goals.
