My Soldier

The green blend throughout his whole body
Muscles tense
And a seriousness washes over his contour body
His boots stomp toward me
seems like hours by the time he gets to me
My heart pulls when he kisses my forehead
His last goodbye before he fights for me, and his country
My soldier looks me in the eye and says farewell
His loving and determined face leaves behind closing doors of hell
I miss him
