My Sisters

My sisters are cute. They are, they are.
But the words that they say are not.
Now all of their speech, they don't understand,
But ideas will stay, they will.

My sisters when they speak hate to you
Please do not take their words in stride.
Now all of my speech they won't understand.
But listen to strangers, they will.

My sisters who say I ought not date
If his skin be black as the night.
Now all of their speech they don't understand.
But ideas please leave, please do!

My sisters! Dear sisters! Please do not hate.
While your hearts still love at first sight.
Now all of your words you don't understand
But those 'ghast ideas you do.

To my sisters and yours, and all brothers too.
We cannot let their hate live on.
Together we must coach children of love,
For to others they listen, they do.
